It was about a girl called Antigone and the kingdom of Thebes after the king had left the throne of Thebes to  hes 2 suns Polynices and Eteocles. Eteocles exiled his bother Polynice but he return with a army to attack. The army was know as the Seven against Thebes. The 2 bothers killed each over so the king said  Polynices will not be buried and hes bother Eteocels can be buried. There 2 sisters Antigone and   Ismene wont to buried there bother but Ismene Did-not wont to be caught so Antigone defies the order but is caught so she is sentenced by Creon  the king to be buried alive but she kills her self the king gos to the tomb to save her but it is to late and when his  wife, Eurydice when she hears the news of her death she kills her self than the king is a lone.  by Sophocles in 496 BC the  first to wrote  the play Antigone.
